This movie is masquerading as a Christmas movie secretly, or at least that's what it devolves into. I think that all the actors in this do a fairly good job of portraying their factions. Especially John Lithgow and Will Ferrell acting like the same cute (sometimes overly cute) dad and son couple throughout the movie.
I also think that it does a good job of portraying to more of a family vibe sort of movie that is decent to watch for the whole family. And it will defiantly get you to laugh even when you don't want to. Especially with the manger scene around the climax of the movie.
Nothing more to say about it, its a solid, chemically formulated comedy movie that plays off a little better than the first Daddy's Home. And makes for a Christmas movie that will go unrecognized with the other holiday comedies that have come to be known. Which is kind of a shame when you think about it.
