Night Hunter (also known as "Nomis")
is a movie that doesn't set the bar high for itself despite its star studded cast of characters. And fails to evoke a true sense of anticipation from its audience Unfortunately turning it into a cookie cutter layout of other movies with the same police force, gray pallet, vendetta based movies that litter amazon prime.
Though the movie starts out great, and get you motivated with its interesting villain and premise. The story starts to get bogged down though with lacking character motives, poorly executed emotional moments between Henry Cavill and his daughter, and illogical plot holes that take you out of it too much.
That's not to say that some of the acting from this isn't great though! I think that the main villain (played by Brendon Fletcher) was very great when it came to commitment to his part. And Stanley Tucci as the police chief, and Ben Kingsley as the determined and grief stricken vigilante, are two actors that I thought played their part pretty well. Unfortunately, Alexandra Daddario and Henry Cavill I thought did all right for what they were written, but were given characters that were stereotypically stale roles. *Also Henry Cavill used this accent that wasn't quite Australian, and wasn't quite British. It confused the HELL out of me.
But that's not to say I didn't hate this movie! I thought there were a lot of interesting twists and turns that kept things fun. And it kept my attention throughout most of the film. Its just a bit of a shame that it couldn't have been picked up in a couple of places.
Undergrad Rating: 5/10 times Henry Cavill's fake accent made me laugh
